I love when school is out on these special days. Most kids are not really sure why they have a day off they are just happy there is no school.
On these school holidays I challenge my Kindergartener and 2nd Grader to find as much information about the holiday as possible. In this case Columbus Day is the Challenge.
The rules are to
Use three or more resources for their information.
Your presentation of information must be presented with visual aids.
You can use pictures, music, art work, artifacts (a craft), food, etc… whatever it takes to teach me about the holiday.
The last rule is to have fun. You are allowed to help each other, ask mommy for help, and use whatever is lying around the house.
This year they really impressed me, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see the wonderful projects they produced.
